Wedding photographer in Paris
I photograph weddings as they happen: no staging, no shot list, never asking you to do it again. What is left is how you actually looked that day.
A wedding lasts one day and gets retold for thirty years. My job is to be there for the five minutes nobody remembers witnessing — and to disappear the rest of the time.

The approach
Documentary, not directed
I don’t pose people. I won’t ask you to walk in again, or to fake a laugh. I spend the day beside you, quietly, photographing what actually happens.
In practice: I arrive early, I talk little, I move a lot. You forget I’m there after about an hour — and that is exactly when the photographs start being good.
The only directed part of the day is the couple portraits: twenty to forty minutes, in evening light, with no family around. The rest belongs to you.

What couples say
We were afraid of spending the day posing. In the end we never saw her working. At one point my sister asked me where the photographer was — she was two metres away, taking the picture I have looked at every day since.
Forty guests, a town hall, a lunch: we were told it would be "too small" for proper coverage. Naibel took 600 photographs and there is not one where we look posed. She was also the only supplier who replied to us in under 48 hours.
It rained from morning to night. We were devastated. She said "trust me" and spent the whole day out in it with us. The photographs from that wedding are the most beautiful I have seen, and I am not saying that because it was mine.

How far in advance should we book?
In the Paris region, allow twelve to eighteen months for a Saturday between May and September. For a weekday or off-season wedding, six to nine months is usually enough. A date is only truly held once the contract is signed and the deposit paid.
Do you travel outside Paris?
Yes. Travel is included anywhere in Île-de-France. Beyond that, in France or abroad, I charge actual travel and accommodation costs, always agreed before the contract is signed.
When do we get the photographs?
You receive a preview of ten photographs within 72 hours, then the full gallery within six weeks. Files are downloadable at full resolution with no expiry, and you have unlimited private usage rights.
